Georges BILLECARD

Clarinettist, saxophonist and flutist, Georges BILLECARD founded his first band, the “NEW ORLEANS COLLEGE” at the age of 17. Member successively of several bands : the ”DIXIE CATS”, “PIERRE DIEUZEY and his CAPETIENS”, the “WATERGATE SEVEN PLUS ONE”, the “QUINTETTE DE PARIS”, the “JAZZ@FOUR”, the “NEW CHOCOLATE DANDIES”,

Georges traveled Europe, the United States, Asia, the Middle East and played with Albert NICHOLAS, Mezz MEZZROW, Claude BOLLING, Bill COLEMAN, George PROBERT...

In 2000, Georges founded the “VIEIL ORLEANS ORCHESTRA” choosing to play without piano nor drums, so giving to the Tuba and to the Banjo a rhythmic and melodic major role.

Admirer of the American singers, Georges also loves to croon by interpreting the standards of the great composers of ballad.

Now, it is within the “SAN FRANCISCO JAZZ BAND”, the result of a collective hallucination, that Georges rings his clarinet, a wild warrior of disappeared bands which wait only to be reborn more brilliantly.
